Frequently asked questions about our yoga & safari retreat in Sri Lanka

  • We limit the group to 10 guests to ensure a personalised yoga retreat experience with space to unwind, reset, and reconnect.

    • Daily yoga classes in Sri Lanka’s natural surroundings

    • A guided breathwork session for relaxation and nervous system regulation

    • Two Sri Lanka safari excursions (Udawalawe and Yala)

    • Fresh, plant-based meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

    • Luxury accommodation at Tranquil Wild Boutique Hotel

    • Additional nature-based activities: wild swimming, cooking class, stargazing, night walk, lake boat trip (organised by the hotel)

    We can coordinate shared or private airport transfers to the retreat venue, at your expense.

  • Absolutely. You can book a private deluxe room or choose a shared twin room with another retreat guest.

  • We offer the following eco-luxury accommodation in Sri Lanka:

    • Deluxe Double Room (single or double occupancy)

    • Twin Room (shared)

    All rooms are en suite and include a private terrace, air conditioning and mini fridge.

  • No - we will be taking over the entire hotel so the hotel will only be filled with our 10 yoga retreat guests plus hosts and staff. 

  • Please book your flights to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), Colombo – Sri Lanka’s main international airport.

  • The retreat venue in Thanamalwila, Southern Sri Lanka, is approximately a 3.5-hour drive from Colombo airport. We can help group guests together to share transfers to help share the cost. Private transfers can also be arranged at your expense.

  • Yes, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for Sri Lanka, covering medical expenses, cancellations, and delays. Flexifare flight tickets are also advised.

  • Prices vary depending on your room selection. Please visit our website or contact us for the latest retreat pricing and availability.

    A £200 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your space.

    You may pay in full, request a retreat payment plan, or use PayPal Pay Later at checkout.

  • If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.

    Refunds (excluding the non-refundable deposit) will be issued according to the following schedule:

    • More than 60 days before the retreat start date: 100% refund (minus deposit)

    • 30–59 days before the retreat start date: 50% refund (minus deposit)

    • Less than 30 days before the retreat start date: No refund available. If you are on a payment plan that extends past the date of the retreat, full payment will need to be made. 

    You are welcome to transfer your place to another participant, subject to our approval.

  • In the unlikely event of cancellation (e.g. due to low bookings), you will receive a full refund.

    This is why travel insurance and flexible bookings are strongly recommended.

  • Our retreat features healthy, plant-based meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients — ideal for a detox or yoga retreat in Sri Lanka.

  • Yes. We can accommodate vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-sensitive diets.

  • Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout shared areas of the hotel and works in some rooms. It will cut out sometimes as we are in a rural location. However, we encourage guests to disconnect digitally and enjoy a deeper connection with nature. If you require internet a reliable connection we advise that you get a local SIM card from the airport. 

  • We recommend that all guests consult their GP or a travel health clinic well in advance of the retreat to discuss recommended travel vaccinations for Sri Lanka. While vaccinations are not mandatory for entry into Sri Lanka from most countries, common recommendations may include Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus, Rabies and Diphtheria.

    Please also ensure your routine vaccinations are up to date. It is your responsibility to obtain any vaccinations or health precautions needed prior to travel.

  • No - this retreat is designed to be flexible. All yoga, excursions and wellness activities are optional, however, refunds are not provided if you choose to opt out of an activity.

  • Yes, all excursions are arranged with trusted local guides and tour operators, with safety and environmental care as top priorities. We do not advise that any guests touch any of the animals we see. Animal welfare is one of our top priorities. 

  • No - the retreat welcomes all levels, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners.
